Youth Basketball League (PYBL)
Team registrations will be held September 24 – October 31, 2009 for Boys and Girls 9- 17. League will run from December – February 2010. Coaches Meeting will be held at the 3rd Floor City Hall recreation Conference Room. For more information, call 393-8481 x 4119.

City Adult Fall & Spring Softball League
Spring organizational meeting will be held March 18, 2010 and the Fall organizational meeting will be held August 5, 2010 at 7pm on the 3rd floor Recreation Conference Room at City Hall. Men’s, Coed, and Men's Church divisions. Spring season begins April 19, 2010 and the Fall season begins August 23, 2010. 14-16 games and end of season tournament.
Cost is $400/team.
Days: Mon. – Fri. Time: 6:30pm – 10:30pm

City Adult/Church Basketball League
Organization meeting will be held on November 4, 2010 at 7:00pm on the 3rd Floor Recreation Conference Room at City Hall. Registration will be held November 4 – December 16, 2010. League will run January 4 – March 20, 2011.
Cost is $400/team.
Days: Monday, Thursday & Saturday
Time: 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Ages: Adults

City Wide Youth Basketball Tournament
This tournament brings together the best youth basketball talent throughout the city for a five-day tournament to crown the overall champion.
Days: March 8 –11, 2010 and March 15 – 16, 2010
Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Ages: 9-15 (Boys & Girls)
Location: TBD

NNSY Basketball League
This league is for shipyard employees for fun and exercise. The season will begin in November 2009 and run through February 2010. The games will be played at Cradock Recreation Gym. Come out to see some exciting basketball action.

Optima Fall Girls Basketball League
Each year we have a Girl’s team that participates in the Girls Fall Basketball program sponsored by the Optima Family Service. The league consist of Girls ages 12-14. They receive information before every game on health, family, and safety issues. The cities that are involved are Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, VA Beach, Newport News, and Portsmouth. This year’s game will be held at J.E. Parker Recreation Center 2340 Turnpike Road. Come by and see some exciting basketball talent. If you are interested in trying out for the team, tryouts are held in July. For more information, call 393-8340.
