ACTIVITIES AT THE SENIOR STATION
Special Events and Classes:
September
Senior Station Swap Meet Tuesday, 8th 10:00AM. Bring in any
items you would like to trade or sale to someone else. Anything
you have a home that you no longer use, may be useful to someone
else. Just make it a even trade off. Registration required;
limited space.
Fall Festival Wednesday, 22nd. Join us for a
great day a Fall activities and events as we celebrate and
decorate for the beginning of the Fall Season.
October
Ahoskie North Carolina Road Trip Date: TBA
Cost: $15. Get ready for the holidays and take a trip to the
meat packing shops down in Ahoskie. We’ll stop at 2 shops and
for lunch. Reservations required by Friday, October 3rd Money
due at the time of reservation.
November
Thanksgiving Luncheon & Fashion Show Tuesday,
24th
Cost: $2 & a side dish.
Join us for this potluck luncheon event as we celebrate family
and friends for the holidays with entertainment door prizes and
more
Fall Scenic Ride November 4th Cost $2. Join us
we take a ride to see nature at its best. Enjoy the beauty of
the changing leaves as you enjoy the ride. We’ll stop to eat at
a surprise place where the scene of nature is breath taking. For
more information please contact the Senior Station.
December
Holiday Bake Off Wednesday, 16th, 12:30 PM.
Ready, Set, Bake! Let’s get ready for the holiday baking season
with a holiday bake off. First, second and third place ribbons
will be awarded
Christmas Night Light Run Thursday, 17th, 5:00
PM. See the lights and the town. We’ll make stops by Winter
Wonderland, Botanical Gardens, and the Boardwalk in Virginia
Beach
Van Service is currently available for
medical/nutritional and social needs for those 60+ on a 1st
call, 1st serve basis. Nutritional lunches served three days a
week, donations requested. Both services provided by Senior
Services of Southeastern Virginia. Donations to defray expenses
are requested.
